THE SERIES THAT MADE ME GO GA GA OVER JOO JIN MO : FASHION 70s

IPB Image

Fashion Seventies is an epic, sprawling drama, focusing on the lives of four young people,
from their childhood during the Korean War, to their careers and love lives within
the booming fashion world of the seventies. Young Joon Hee befriends little Kang Hee,
but the two girls get into trouble because of Kang Hee's greedy mother. Joon Hee also
makes friends with two boys, Dong Young, the son of a military general and Jang Bin.
But when North Korean forces invade their town, both girls are separated from their
parents and Joon Hee's mother is killed in an explosion. Believing his daughter to have died,
Joon Hee's father adopts Kang Hee and raises her as his own daughter. Joon Hee is
discovered at an orphanage by Kang Hee's mother, and is also adopted. The trauma of
the events causes Joon Hee to block out her childhood memories and she grows up on
a small island as Doe Mi, unaware of her true identity.
Years pass and all four of their paths cross again, with complicated, destructive results.
Doe Mi dreams of becoming a fashion designer, and petty criminal Jang Bin helps
her move to Seoul to chase her dream. In the process he falls in love with her,
but his feelings are unrequited. Doe Mi meets Dong Young, who has become an
aide to the President, and although they do not recognize each other, there is an instant
attraction between them. Kang Hee is also working in fashion, and already in love
with Dong Young, but is heartbroken when she discovers he has fallen for Doe Mi.

Fashion Seventies marks a return to acting for star Lee Yo Won, who retired from
the profession after getting married. The series also stars Kim Min Jung as Kang Hee,
and heartthrobs Joo Jin Mo and Chun Jung Myung as respectively, Dong Young and Jang Bin.

ABOUT JOO JIN MO

Joo Jin-mo (b. August 11, 1975) began his acting career in TV dramas and some minor
roles in film. He was first cast as a lead in Dance Dance (1999), Korea's only dance film,
for which he underwent extensive dance training. Although the film itself did not perform well,
it leant Joo some publicity before he broke through with the box-office and critical hit Happy End.
His role as a spurned lover in this psycho-drama attracted considerable notice in Korea,
and the film itself also traveled to Hong Kong.

After taking the lead in Kim Ki-duk's mildly experimental Real Fiction (which was shot in
3 1/2 hours without any retakes), Joo took a major role in the much-hyped Musa, set in
14th century China and starring Zhang Ziyi from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
He also acted in Wanee and Junah, a melodrama about a screenwriter and an animator
opposite popular actress Kim Hee-sun.

In 2003 he was rumored to take the lead role in an action blockbuster from Sidus Pictures,
and also in the latest film by veteran director Park Kwang-su, but both films were then
cancelled due to a lack of financing. Joo's return to the screen came in spring 2004, in the
comedy Liar based on the play Run For Your Wife by Ray Cooney.

MY TAKE ON JOO JIN MO.

Some people say.. he looks like a work of art.. a masterpiece... I couldn't agree more.
When Looking at such a man as Joo Jin Mo, its hard to describe such beauty in a man.
He's one actor that can cause my heart to pump like mad, my stomach twirls and twirls
especially when he does his sneaky smirks.

After watching Fashion 70s.. I'm convinced that Joo Jin Mo came straight from Heaven,
with heavenly charms to sweep girls off his feet by his magnificient stature.

HAHA! gosh, I don't think I have ever seen a creature as sexy as Joo Jin Mo.. It was watching
Fashion 70s, and his appearance in a helicopter in the sky that captivated my interest in the
man.

he's one actor that you just drop ur jaw, go in awe and think to yourself about the beauty of
God's creation. HAHA!

tHE other thing I really like about this man is his fun loving sense of humor. After watching the
NGs of F70s it really marveled me how such a man has such great sense of humor. It is indeed
a BIG BIG PLUS for a handsome man to carry such funny personality image which makes him even
more lovable and adorable.

I get goosebumps when i see scenes of him holding a woman... I think he does those scenes
with such tender, GOD i start wishing I cud jump into the screen with him. image

SOOMPI definitely HAS TO HAVE A JOO JIN MO Thread... image
